a16z crypto released Aerie, a system that aggregates quantum-resistant Falcon signatures for Ethereum-scale validator sets using lattice-based SNARKs. Aerie aggregates 32,768 Falcon-512 signatures in 0.65 seconds on an Apple M4 Max laptop, achieving 50,000+ signatures per second throughput with 42 bytes per signature. The system outperforms prior Falcon aggregation work and Ethereum's leanVM post-quantum roadmap by 29 times on comparable workloads, requiring no recursive proof merging.
