CFTC's new crypto framework could face 2028 election deadline, says TD Cowen

CFTC proposed a federal framework for crypto platforms last week while avoiding direct jurisdiction over spot market transactions. TD Cowen's Jaret Seiberg says the CFTC's advanced notice of proposed rulemaking likely won't be completed until early 2028.
