Conduit sues Tether over allegedly freezing $2.8M without explanation

Conduit Technology sued Tether in US District Court, alleging the stablecoin issuer froze $2.76 million in USDT without explanation or legal justification in September 2025. Tether allegedly froze the funds based on a connection to a Brazilian federal police investigation into financial intermediaries, identified using Tether's own criteria. This is the second lawsuit against Tether for fund freezing in recent months, following a case by Thai nationals over $42.4 million frozen after a US Homeland Security request.
