Ethereum Delays Glamsterdam Testnet Fork Over Gas Security Flaws

Ethereum developers delayed the Glamsterdam upgrade on Hoodi testnet after ChainSecurity identified security flaws in how the upgrade changes gas fees. ChainSecurity found 13 real-world examples of contracts vulnerable to the changes, which can cause failed calls to complete instead of reverting under certain conditions. The upgrade had been scheduled for Monday on Hoodi; Glamsterdam already activated on Sepolia testnet in October and aims for mainnet deployment by end of 2026.
