Kraken: Asking How Funds Will Be Used After Leaving the Platform Is Unacceptable; XMR Will Remain Listed Kraken co-CEO Arjun Sethi said the platform was wrong to send emails to clients who bought and withdrew Monero (XMR) using their own money, asking for information about their employer, source of funds, and intended use of the coins. He said no rule required these inquiries, and someone had flagged a client simply for being young and having substantial funds. The requests have been withdrawn, and affected clients have been told they do not need to provide anything. Sethi said asking where funds came from is reasonable, but asking how they will be used after leaving the platform is unacceptable. Kraken has removed such questions and will keep XMR listed.
