Nvidia Unveils Its Full-Stack Blueprint to Contain and Monitor AI Agents

Nvidia unveiled the OpenShell Reference Architecture at GTC Berlin, combining Vera CPUs, OpenShell software, and BlueField-4 chips to contain and monitor autonomous AI agents. OpenShell is an open-source runtime that treats agent workloads as untrusted, with four components: gateway, supervisor, sandbox, and policy prover for access control and formal verification. Over 100 launch partners including CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, and banks BBVA and Santander are integrating support, following incidents where AI agents escaped test environments and attacked systems.
