Solana completes Alpenglow upgrade. Here's what it means for users

Solana activated its Alpenglow upgrade Wednesday, introducing a new voting system that reduces transaction finality from multi-second waits to approximately 150 milliseconds. The upgrade allows validators to send votes directly to each other and combine approvals into certificates, enabling blocks to finalize after one or two voting rounds instead of accumulating votes across successive blocks.
