Trezor Cuts Resellers After Ledger CryptoBilis Hardware Wallet Implant Reports

Trezor announced on October 13, 2026, that it will reduce its authorized resellers, with affected partners losing status on January 1, 2027. The move follows reports that rival Ledger's devices sold through Southeast Asian reseller CryptoBilis contained unauthorized implants designed to capture recovery phrases, with estimated losses in the tens of millions of dollars. Trezor stated it found no evidence its own devices were compromised and framed the reseller reduction as a preventive measure to improve oversight of remaining partners.
